New Patent Awarded for Unverferth Seed Runner Tender’s Self-Filling Design

Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc. announces the issuance of a new U.S. Patent, #8,221,047, for its Seed Runner tender’s unique self-filling design. The dual-compartment Unverferth Seed Runner seed tender not only delivers and unloads bulk or bagged seed to a planter or drill, its innovative design allows the conveyor to rotate 180° for filling itself. The conveyor can also be positioned parallel to the tender for transferring seed from one container to another.

U.S. Patent #8,221,047 adds to Unverferth Manufacturing’s portfolio relating to innovative seed tenders and self-filling technology. Unverferth Manufacturing was previously awarded U.S. Patent #7,690,499 for its innovative self-sealing edges on the intake for the gentlest seed handling and minimal seed damage and owns U.S. Patent #5,888,044 for an innovative loading/unloading conveyor system. The eye-catching color combination earlier this year was awarded a trademark by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Additional U.S. and foreign patent applications for the self-filling technology are currently pending.
