Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc. announces the availability of its newly developed T & G applicator for talc, graphite or combination as an accessory for its Seed Runner and SeedPro® seed tenders. Its patent-pending design provides constant application of talcum powder, graphite or a mixture of both for ideal planter lubrication, resulting in more consistent seed placement for better stands and eliminating the labor and mess associated with manual application into each planter box.
The Unverferth T & G applicator mounts on the rear of the Seed Runner and Seed Pro bulk tenders and features a 50-pound capacity. The hopper lid’s weather-tight fit keeps contents dry and comes complete with a gas-strut lift assist for easy opening and filling. The T & G applicator is powered by the seed tender’s hydraulic system and augers the talc or graphite into the conveyor inlet. The auger system and internal agitation provide an even coating and virtually eliminates the possibility of material bridging. The T & G applicator comes complete with a metering control that can be turned off when not needed.
The dual-compartment Unverferth Seed Runner tender not only delivers seed to a planter or drill, its patented design allows the conveyor to rotate 180° for filling itself. The conveyor can also be positioned parallel to the tender for transferring seed from one container to another.
The Unverferth Seed Pro seed tender delivers up to four, 50-unit seed boxes to a planter or drill. Its conveyor can also be positioned parallel to the tender for transferring seed from one container to another.
