Unverferth Introduces New Header Transport Model and Added Safety Features

7/26/2010

Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc. announces the addition of a new 48’ Roadrunner to its lineup of header transports to meet the ever-increasing sizes of combine draper heads. The new model RR548 features the hallmark 100% tool-free adjustable design of other Unverferth models in addition to its adjustable trussed-frame design and 6,000 pound capacity rear axles for carrying the largest grain platforms. In addition to the new 48’ model, Roadrunner transports are also available in lengths of 30’, 36’ and 42’ to match additional sizes of today’s popular headers and platforms. All models feature standard header bracket with 12.5” platform rest brackets to match all headers and platforms, front and rear torsion-flex axle suspension for smooth trailing, and rear axles with multiple mounting positions for accommodating the various brands of heads. New safety features for 2010 include rear-mounted, width-adjustable L.E.D. lighting for added transport visibility along with optional 2, 4 or 6 wheel brakes with break-away brake engagement depending on model. Additional standard safety features include transport chain, highly visible reflective striping and ratcheting tie-down straps for securing the load. Road Runner transports are available in producer’s choice of a durable finish in green or red. Options include spare tire kit with carrier, and ball or pintle hitch in place of standard clevis hitch.
