“Why Do You Choose Brent?†Video Contest Winners Announced

Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc., manufacturer of Brent Grain Carts, announces the Frank Dietrich family of Lucan, Ontario, Canada, as the grand prize winner of the “Why Do You Choose Brent?” video contest finalists during the National Farm Machinery Show. The Dietrich family video was chosen the best through a public vote on the Brent product website.
The contest invited farmers to capture and share video footage of Brent grain carts in use and how they make harvest go smoother. As grand prize winners, the Dietrich’s will receive a 60” flat-screen LCD TV valued at $2,500.
The Dietrich entry of still and video photography chronicled the family’s use of a new Brent model 882 grain cart from the day it first arrived on the farm in January, 2011, through the completion of wheat and corn harvest last fall, to cleanup and placement in storage until needed for the 2012 harvest.
“The Dietrich’s video, as did all the entries, clearly showed their pride in their family, farm and Brent grain cart,” said Dan Fanger, vice president, sales and marketing for Unverferth, “As the manufacturer of Brent grain carts, it’s gratifying to see the value placed on them by our customers.”
The second-place winner was the Kyle Kohlhagen family of Rensselaer, Indiana. They received a Cabela’s® $1,000 gift card. The three other finalists –Conrad Arnzen of Craigmont, ID with his video of Boyer Farms in Lapwai, ID; the Couser family of Nevada, Iowa; and the Kerry Knuth family of Mead, Nebraska, taken by Jake Hull of Wahoo, Nebraska – each won a new Canon® HD Camcorder for taking their home video to the next level.
