Seed Handling Lineup Expanded

2/10/2010

Kalida, Ohio – February 10, 2010- Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc. expands its industry-leading bulk-handling product line with the addition of a 19’ pull-type tubular-style conveyor. The cupped and cleated 12-inch-wide belt inside an 8-inch tube provides ideal gentleness and carrying capacity for seed or grain. The tube is constructed of heavy-duty, 10-gauge powder-coated steel for optimum durability.

Field-proven, two-inch vulcanized cleats are spaced nine inches apart to provide high-capacity movement at lower speeds for the softest handling. Seed or grain can be carried at rates up to 34 bushels per minute or 2,040 bushels per hour.

The conveyor is available with an electric drive with a single- or three-phase option, or an orbital hydraulic drive. The top-mounted motor keeps the belt evenly tensioned for added speed and minimal grain quality reduction.

Unverferth tubular conveyors feature a heavy-duty steel transport frame, new implement tires and a wide, eight-foot base for extra stability when in a high working position and during towing. Operating height is easily adjusted with a friction-disc winch. The conveyor’s well-balanced design and tool-free hitch removal allows easy positioning and convenient operation.

Hoppers are 3’ wide for unloading convenience with either seed bags or wagons and feature a hinged lower cleanout door for easily removing leftover grain. There’s also a protective grating over the intake for enhanced operator safety.
