Unverferth Introduces the All-wheel Steer Fieldrunner

Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc., announces the introduction of the Fieldrunner header transport with patent-pending all-wheel steering. It features a front-to-rear steering connection for true tracking performance and 180-degree front turning for optimum maneuverability.The patented rear-oscillating frame also provides added flexibility and enhanced trailing.

The Fieldrunner AWS is available in 42-, 36- and 32-foot models with a 13,000-pound carrying capacity. The chassis features automotive-type ball-joint steering, spindles and center kingpin with tapered roller bearings, 10-ton hubs and high-capacity 15-inch tires for long-term dependability.

The 6-inch x 4-inch lower rest support is trussed for handling the heaviest loads and fitted with patent-pending tool-free adjustable, extendable-height rest brackets for easily matching and placing the corn or draper head or platform. The Fieldrunner AWS also features 2-inch tiedowns with easy-operating ratchet tighteners for securing the load.

The 12-foot tongue has an extendable clevis hitch and adjustable, spring-assist lift design for easy attachment to the towing vehicle. The Fieldrunner AWS also features a width-adjustable rear L.E.D. light bar for enhanced visibility and industry-standard 7-pin bladed receptacle for quick attachment. Optional 2- or 4-wheel electric brakes with breakaway engagement for enhanced transport safety are available.
