Raptor Refined With Enhanced Tillage Performance and Greater Adjustability

Unverferth Manufacturing announces new models of its Raptor strip-tillage tool, the 2130 with spring-cushioned shanks and 2115 with shear-bolt shanks.  Creating an optimum strip-tilled seedbed and precision fertilizer placement is the ultimate goal of any tillage tool and the new refinements match both of these goals perfectly.  

The new TerrainPro2 row units feature larger diameter 16” shark tooth row cleaners with 6-bolt hubs for clearing a path for the strip-till operation.  The 12.75” depth control wheel features a solid steel design for added flotation and cleats to help drive it through the soil.  The standard scraper keeps it free from residue or mud buildup.  The closing coulter design features 17” wavy blades for more aggressive tillage and a tool-free adjustable design that eliminates locking pins.  The rear 11” wide crowfoot conditioning basket stays on top of the strip, preventing residue from being pulled into the strip for enhanced seed to soil contact.  

For the DT models featuring feature dry fertilizer application, the plumbing is being updated to 2.5” diameter for increasing application rates to up to 900 lbs. per acre.  A Bluetooth-connected blockage meter alerts the operator of any flow irregularities.  

Three-point mounted 6- and 8-row units can now be equipped with a pull-type dry fertilizer cart with custom-molded tank with 4-ton capacity, ISOBUS rate control, 2” diameter plumbing, hydraulic blower and optional Bluetooth blockage monitor.  

Raptor strip-till tools are available with pull-type sizes in 12- and 16-row units with dry, liquid or tillage only and in 3-point mounted units in 6-, 8- or 12-row sizes 16-row
